Getting Real – Day 3 [WHOLE30]

Alright guys, this is where it gets real. And I get real. With you.

I haven’t pooped in 4 days.

And yet I feel like I have to pee (and do) every 10 minutes.

I feel like my stomach is inflated (almost as if there’s a balloon in there), but I don’t really feel bloated.

I’m tired… a bit lethargic. I feel like I did a long workout when I didn’t at all.

Have a little bit of heartburn, but not nearly as bad as a few days ago before WHOLE 30.

Today was a busy day, so my meals were at odd times, but completely compliant. πŸ‘πŸ˜Š

Breakfast (10:30am): 3 scrambled eggs with chopped onions & sautΓ©ed spinach. Cooked in olive oil!

On the side, roasted red potatoes tossed in olive oil, salt, pepper and thyme – cooked at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes.

And Cholula. Lots of Cholula. πŸ’ƒ

I felt full and satisfied!

We had a little hour long gig to play this afternoon, so we did that and then went to enjoy a nice cup of coffee.

Snack (2:15pm): Black Coffee with a banana and a handful of dry roasted almonds.

I didn’t have time to take a picture of the banana or almonds because I gobbled ’em up pretty fast. πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ Fuck it.

Once we finished with our nice leisure coffee with Matt’s dad and brother, Matt and I were feeling exhausted and super hungry. Coffee and paleo will do that to ya.

We had a gig tonight, so we figured we’d stay out until then. So we went to…


I read on some WHOLE 30 Survival guides (so dramatic) that there’s one meal you can have at Chipotle when you’re just lost and have nowhere else to go.

AKA me today.

Lunch (4:00pm): I ordered a “salad” (no dressing) with carnitas, pico de Gallo salsa and guacamole πŸ₯‘πŸ₯‘.

Again, yumsky.

We had just a teeny bit more time to kill before work so I talked Matt into going to Target with me πŸ›’πŸ›’πŸ›’πŸ›’. I. Love. Target.

And good thing I went because I spent $15 on these precious WHOLE30 compliant snack bars. On sale, baby! πŸ‘Œ

Then I ate one. 😏

We had our gig, then came home and made a staple.

Dinner (10:00pm): Zucchini noodles with pasta sauce and lean ground beef.

Now I feel like I could sleep for days. I hope this whole tired feeling goes away soon.
