I Just Want Some Wine. – Days 11, 12, 13 [WHOLE30]

I thought of all the things…

Chocolate, cheese, pizza, bread, cheese, cookies…. the only thing I genuinely miss is wine. 🍷🍷

Maybe I’ll just live my life paleo with the exception of wine?! Haha things to think about…

Let’s start with this…

This diet makes you gassy.

The gas is smelly.

It’s so gross.

But real.

Real search. Real answers.

Apparently it’s just a thing and a lot of people experience it. Lovely, right?


I really intended to write the past couple of nights. I even had a draft for day 11… almost done, but I fell asleep writing it. 😩

I feel like I’m going to bed at normal times lately, which is shocking also considering day lights savings. 👀

I usually go to bed around 1 or 2 and now I’ve been falling asleep by midnight. Not sure why! Maybe my body is regulating? Who knows.

Let’s talk about meals! 🥩🥚🍳🥑🥥

Here’s what I had day 11… my mom made Matt and I the most delicious Thai coconut curry chicken in the crockpot.

It was so flavorful!

We were dog sitting at my parents’ house, so my mom so sweetly had dinner waiting for us.

With these! To crisp up in the oven and put under the chicken!

So yummy.

Day 12, I did my own crockpot meal!

Homemade Chipotle, except instead of carnitas, pulled chicken!

Put 3 organic chicken breasts in my crockpot, cut up an onion, and put about 2 cups of chicken bone broth (that shit’s expensive!), spices and hot sauce in. Cooked on low for 5 hours, it was so good!

Also, my parents started WHOLE30 this day!

Like I said, I would recommend this challenge to anyone, and I did!

I’m proud of them. 😊

Now today, day freakin 13! I can’t believe it! Woohoo! Almost halfway done!

And I found the most amazing dressing. I wish I had found it 13 days ago.

Guys- this is my new favorite meal. And I will buy this dressing even after WHOLE30.

It even has a little “WHOLE30 Approved” stamp on it. And guess what I did with it?

Turkey BLT lettuce wrap!

I took 4 pieces prosciutto, put them in a skillet with a little olive oil and let them cook a little to have that bacon-y texture.

Then, I piled it up!

Lettuce leaf, Wegmans organic turkey (complaint), chopped beefsteak tomato, one piece of prosciutto, then drizzled that heavenly ranch on it. 🤤🤤🤤🤤

I could have this for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Seriously- try it!

As far as mood and energy, yesterday I had a TON of energy. Did spring cleaning and laundry for 4 hours nonstop. So. Much. Energy.

Today, I was a bit tired, but feel good otherwise!
